NEWPORT BEACH - Corona del Mar High’s boys tennis team continued to

serve notice that it was a team to be reckoned with in the upcoming

National High School Tennis All-American Invitational March 16-17,

sending highly regarded Beverly Hills home with a 14-4 nonleague spanking

at the Balboa Bay Club Racquet Club Thursday.

“Our Nos. 2 and 3 doubles really came through for us,” said CdM Coach

Tim Mang.

Senior Brian Morton swept in singles, and Garrett Snyder, a sophomore

transfer from Santa Margarita High after spending his eighth grade on the

CdM campus, was near-perfect, routing the Normans, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0.

“Garrett is just playing fantastic,” said Mang. “He’s a very smart

player.”

Randy Myers and Belgian exchange student Geoffrey Ralet won two of

three in doubles, ad did Shaan Wadhwa and Ryan Stockwell.

Corona del Mar improves to 2-0. Beverly Hills is 1-1.
