High School Baseball: Eagles can’t complete comeback

COSTA MESA - The Estancia High baseball team absorbed a 6-3 loss to

visiting Cerritos in the Foothill/Costa Mesa Tournament’s final game

Saturday.

After the Dons built a 4-0 lead, the Eagles (3-4) pulled to within one

after Gustavo Avila scored on J.B. Goff’s sacrifice fly and senior Andy

Romo scored when Armando Ortiz smacked his second triple in the fifth

inning.

Ortiz and Romo each finished 2 for 3.
