Boys golf: Estancia squeaks past Laguna Beach

ALISO VIEJO - The Estancia High boys golf team needed help from its

sixth golfer, but pulled out a Pacific Coast League win over Laguna Beach

Monday at Aliso Viejo Golf Course’s Valley Course, par 36.

The Eagles and Artists battled to a 211-211 deadlock, but Estancia

prevailed when Aaron Frankel edged out Laguna Beach’s sixth golfer,

50-52.

Jason Cassidy led the Eagles (3-1, 1-0 in league) with a 38, while

Greg Rausch (40), Pete Baker (42), Nick Razzo (43) and Joey Meuller (48)

completed the Eagles’ scoring.

Estancia and Costa Mesa will compete today at the Costa Mesa Golf &

Country Club’s Mesa Linda Course, beginning at 2 p.m.
