Community College Softball: OCC blanked, 8-0

COSTA MESA - The Orange Coast College softball team committed five

errors and gave up seven unearned runs to surrender a 8-0 Orange Empire

Conference loss to visiting Cypress Tuesday.

The Pirates (5-12-1, 0-10 in conference) have committed 36 errors in

their past seven games, which have led to 36 unearned runs.

OCC sophomore catcher Meredith Miles went 2 for 3 and Erin O’Hara

collected the Pirates’ other hit.

Cypress improved to 6-3 in the OEC and 10-8 overall. The Pirates will

be back in action Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Riverside.
