* Center Street: There was a report of assault and battery in the 800

block at 1:03 a.m. Thursday.

* Placentia Avenue: A man was reported drunk in the 1800 block at

12:40 a.m. Thursday.

* Rochester Street: Burglary was reported in the 100 block at 12:30

a.m. Thursday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* David Drive: Mail theft was reported in the 200 block at 9:30 a.m.

Thursday.

* Newport Boulevard: Vandals reportedly broke concrete statues in the

2800 block at 10:45 a.m. Thursday.

* San Marco: Annoying phone calls were reported in the 2600 block at 4

p.m. Thursday. The caller is said to have hung up after “making rude

noises.”
