COSTA MESA

* Brioso Drive: Grand theft was reported in the 1000 block at 9:08

a.m. Tuesday.

* Ohms Way: An auto theft was reported in the 700 block at 10:16 a.m.

Tuesday.

* Park Place and 18th Street: Possession of a controlled substance was

reported at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday.

* Scott Place: A robbery was reported in the 700 block at 10:16 a.m.

Tuesday.

* Terminal Way: Petty theft was reported in the 600 block at 8:43 a.m.

Tuesday.

* Victoria Street: A residential burglary was reported in the 500

block at 12:53 a.m. Tuesday.

* Avenue of the Arts: No one was injured in a car fire that broke out

in the underground parking lot of The Lakes apartment complex in the 3400

block at about 4:50 p.m. Monday. The fire caused a lot of smoke but was

put out in a few minutes.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Beacon Bay: Annoying calls were reported in the 20 block at 10 a.m.

Tuesday.

* Newport Pier: A cell phone was reported stolen at 4 p.m. Monday.

* 20th Street and Balboa Boulevard: Display of false identification

was reported at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.
