Boys golf: CdM edges Estancia

COSTA MESA - The Corona del Mar High boys golf team posted a

199-208 Pacific Coast League win over Estancia Thursday at the Mesa Verde

Country Club, par 36.

Joe Kwon led the Sea Kings (9-2, 7-1 in league) with a 1-over-par, 37.

Other CdM scores included Brad Chamberlin (39), John Kwon (40), Jason

Wishengrad (41) and Tim Frohling (43).

Joey Mueller shot a 39 to lead the Eagles, while Jason Cassidy (40),

Aaron Frankel (42), Ryan Brown (43) and Greg Rausch (44) rounded out

Estancia’s top five.

CdM will complete its 18-hole nonleague match with Aliso Niguel on

Monday at the Monarch Beach Country Club, beginning at 3:30 p.m. The Sea

Kings have a four-shot lead on the Wolverines.
