* Newhall Street: Grand theft was reported in the 900 block at 11:16

a.m. Tuesday.

* Newport Boulevard: A burglary was reported in the 2500 block at 6:50

p.m. Tuesday.

* Orange Avenue: An auto theft was reported in the 1700 block at 8:17

a.m. Tuesday.

* Towne Street: Possession of a dangerous weapon was reported in the

800 block at 7:04 p.m. Tuesday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Back Bay Drive: A cell phone was reported in the 1100 block at 2:02

p.m. Monday.

* Irvine Boulevard: Vandals reportedly shot a street light with a .25

caliber gun in the 1700 block at 10:11 a.m. Tuesday.

* McFadden Place and Ocean Front: Petty theft was reported at 11 a.m.

Tuesday.

* Posada: Vandals reportedly wiped mustard on a car window in the 1400

block at 8 p.m. Monday.
