Boys golf: Sea Kings take care of Irvine

NEWPORT BEACH - The Corona del Mar High boys golf team wrapped up

its 18-hole nonleague match with Irvine and pulled out a 391-406 win.

The first nine holes were played at Oak Creek Golf Course while the

final nine were played at the Newport Beach Country Club.

John Kwon shot a 2-over-par 73 over the 18 holes to lead the Sea Kings

(9-3). Other CdM scorers included Joe Kwon (77), Nick Sherman (79), Brad

Chamberlin (81) and Tim Frohling and Alex Chikovani (combined score of

81).

CdM will take on University at Strawberry Farms on April 24, beginning

at 3:30 p.m.
