Hundreds of yachts, sport-fishers, sailboats and speedboats will be on

view at the 28th annual Newport In-Water Boat Show at the Newport Dunes

Resort beginning May 6.

The show’s centerpiece will be a $2.65-million luxury yacht that has

five staterooms, including a VIP retreat, a fully equipped entertainment

center in the master stateroom, a state-of-the-art kitchen and a number

of computerized nautical components that lend the boat a “mansion on the

water” appeal.

A variety of marine accessory equipment exhibits will get displayed in

two giant tents on shore. Experts will also be present to answer

questions.

The show is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. from May 2 to May 4, from 10

a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 5 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 6. Admission is

$10 for adults and children aged 12 and under are free. Newport Dunes are

located at 1131 Back Bay Drive near Jamboree Road and East Coast Highway.
