Jill Lynn Tyler and James Douglas Eplett of Newport Beach exchanged

vows November 18 at the Laguna Presbyterian Church in Laguna Beach.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Theodore Tyler of

Corona del Mar. She wore a Vera Wang ivory silk faille gown with covered

buttons on the sleeves and down the back of the dress, as well as down

the chapel length train.

Her matron of honor was Cara Todd and the maid of honor was Heather

Simpson. Bridesmaids were Marcie McCain, Kimberly Nelson, Lisa Tobiason,

Rosa Kim and Darlyn Morgan. The flower girls were Maria Barrera and Anna

Reilly.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Mary Jane Eplett and Dr. James Douglas

Eplett of Boston. His best man was John Barrera and groomsmen were Brian

Tyler, Sean Reilly, Casey Keller, Francis O’Connor, Charlie Dow, Dave

Bartenwerfer and Ted Tyler.

The ring bearer was Kent Keller.

The reception was held at the Pelican Hill Golf Club.

The couple honeymooned in Florence and Rome.

The bride is a graduate of UCLA and Harvard University. She is

currently in the fifth year of a PhD. She completed a fellowship in

computer science at UC Irvine.

The groom is a graduate of Tufts Medical School and did his general

surgery and otolaryngology residency training at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

He received an MBA from Stanford University and is now a partner at Essex

Woodlands Health Ventures.
