Baseball: Sailors, Tustin deadlocked

NEWPORT BEACH - The Newport Harbor High baseball team battled back

from a 10-4 deficit to muster an 11-11 nonleague tie with Tustin Thursday

afternoon.

Garrett Brant went 3 for 5 with two doubles, a home run, two runs

scored and four RBIs for the Sailors (7-12-1).

Donovan Wong went 2 for 6, including a two-run home run and an RBI

double, while Jon Vandersloot went 3 for 6 with three runs scored.

Newport will resume Sea View League play at Aliso Niguel today at 3:15

p.m.
