Boys tennis: CdM fares well at Ojai

OJAI - Three members of the Corona del Mar High boys tennis team

made immediate impacts at the Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament Thursday

afternoon.

Cameron Ball advanced to the Sweet 16 after posting wins in the first

two rounds.

Ball defeated Matthew Ozurovich of Santa Margarita, 6-0, 6-2, in the

opening round and then beat Camarillo’s Jason Mossembekker, 6-3, 6-4.

Ball will take on fellow Pacific Coast League standout Aaron Yovan

from University today at 9:30 a.m.

On the doubles side, No. 1 seed Brian Morton and Garrett Snyder

breezed past Jacob Denney and Jonathan Le (El Dorado), 6-0, 6-0, before

defeating Todd Kinsling and Vik Piku (St. Bonaventure), 6-1, 6-1.

Carsten Ball, brother of Cameron Ball, also advanced to the Sweet 16

in the boys 16 singles bracket as an eighth grader.

Ball defeated Jarryd Cooper of Sierra Madre, 6-1, 6-1 and Troy Pollet

of Oak View, 6-2, 6-2, in the second round
