NHBA to host auction, dinner

NEWPORT BEACH - The Newport Harbor Baseball Association will host

its first annual auction and dinner celebration tonight at the Newport

Sports Collection Foundation, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $25 and proceeds will go to the

NHBA.

The cuisine and cocktails are compliments of El Cholo restaurant and

festive attire is required.

On Sunday, the NHBA will host a family fun day at Mariners Park from

11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Some of the activities include a home run derby, a pop fly contest,

carnival-style games and a “manager’s game”.

Outback Steakhouse will provide lunch for $7 at the door.

The family fun day was designed to replace this year’s opening day

festivities, which were rained out.
