NMPC: Eagles rally to defeat Cardinals

The Calvary Chapel Eagles rallied to defeat the Corona del Mar

Dodgers, 6-5, in Newport-Mesa Pony Conference (ages 13-14) action.

Eagles’ starting pitcher Josh Seliner pitched five strong innings,

while reliever Ryan Williams pitched the final two.

Seliner, Jordan Thoma, Brandon Hoffman, Cody Smith, Chris Hurley and

Patrick Dayton each had key hits for the Eagles, while Steve Mendez,

Patrick Martinez and Brett Fielder sparkled on defense.

In other NMPC action:

CdM Mets 9, Newport Harbor Boweivels 5 - Tom Money pitched four strong

innings to lead the Mets to victory.

Matt Silva had three RBIs and two runs scored for the Mets, while Wes

Presson and Blake Allred each had clutch hits. Blake Matthews and Roger

Hamilton each came through with key RBIs for the Mets.
