Briefly in the news

The Mesa Del Mar Homeowners Assn. is having its annual meeting at 7

p.m. Tuesday at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 2850 Fairview

Ave., Costa Mesa.

The first part of the meeting will include presentations open to all

city residents. The second part of the meeting will be a board discussion

of association business.

Among those scheduled to give presentations include Peter Naghavi,

transportation services manager for the city, will discuss parking

restrictions on street sweeping days; Lt. Ron Smith will discuss crime

and crime prevention; Jeff Pratt, one of the owners of the El Camino

Shopping Center, will explain plans to convert the center into housing;

and Becky Bailey-Findley, manager of the Orange County Fairgrounds, will

talk about the fairgrounds.
