Corona del Mar High can clinch the Pacific Coast League baseball

championship with a victory over University, either today at Uni or

Friday at the Sea Kings’ diamond.

Leading by 2 1/2 games with four league games remaining, a CdM win

today would push the gap to 3 1/2 with three to play.

Meanwhile, Costa Mesa, trailing University by two games, attempts to

solidify its quest for one of three guaranteed PCL berths into the CIF

Southern Section playoffs, when it begins a home-and-home series with

fourth-place Laguna Beach today at the Artists’ cozy confines.

Estancia begins a PCL home-and-home series with Northwood today at

Estancia, while Newport Harbor continues to play out its Sea View League

schedule, visiting Laguna Hills Wednesday, before hosting Woodbridge

Friday.

All games are 3:15 p.m., except Friday’s 7 p.m. clash between Mesa and

Laguna Beach at TeWinkle Park.
