Jeff Livingston graduated from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s

Academy. He completed a 19-week, multifaceted school, now required by the

state of California, before his appointment as a deputy sheriff. His

first assignment is to the custody division in downtown Los Angeles. He

lives in Huntington Beach with his wife Colleen and son Colby. He is the

son of former residents Ken and Carlene Livingston, now of Murrieta. .

. . Computers and Special Education Instructor Michelle R. Wild of

Coastline Community College has received the David R. Pierce Faculty

Technology Award. Sponsored by the Microsoft Corp., the award recognizes

community college professors who demonstrate enthusiasm for the use of

technology and increase access to technology skills for undeserved

populations. . . . Huntington Beach resident Lamie Boukris was awarded

$20,000 through Gov. Gray Davis’ Teaching Fellowship Program. The program

provides funding for teaching fellowships to help pay for education and

living expenses while being a full-time student enrolled in a teacher

education program. . . . Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Vincent Evangelista of

Huntington Beach completed the microcomputer repair course at the Marine

Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms. During the course, he

maintained and repaired desktop computers and associated equipment. He is

a 1999 graduate of Fountain Valley High School. . . . Marine Corps Pvt.

Jose M. Martinez of Huntington Beach completed basic training at Marine

Crops Recruit Depot in San Diego, Calif. Martinez completed 12 weeks of

training designed to challenge new Marine recruits both physically and

mentally. He is a 2000 graduate of Huntington Beach High School. . . .

Marine Corps Sgt. Sean A. Reardon of Huntington Beach reported for duty

with 1st Radio Battalion and 1st Marine Expeditionary Force in Kaneohe

Bay, Hawaii. He is the son of Kathleen and Daniel Reardon of Huntington

Beach.
