Orange Coast College will hold auditions for “The Revenge of the Space

Pandas” from 5:30 to 8 p.m. May 21 at the Drama Lab Theatre, 2701

Guild to discuss film festival

The Newport Beach Premiere Cinema Guild will hold a general members

meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Sports Club Irvine to discuss the recent

Newport Beach Film Festival, an upcoming fund-raiser and a series of film

screenings. The guild is a nonprofit group supporting the Newport Beach

‘Touch of Evil’ coming to OCC

A version of Orson Welles’ “A Touch of Evil” will be screened at 6:30

p.m. May 19 at Orange Coast College’s Forum, 2701 Fairview Road, Costa

Mesa. Rick Schmidlin, who worked on the restoration, will discuss how he

reconstructed the piece. Arthur Taussig, a professor at OCC, film critic

and author, and OCC business professor Lee Gordon also will join the
