What trailer will it be, Roseanne?

Ever since watching Roseanne’s self-titled sitcom, we’ve suspected

that she must have a soft spot for trailers -- or recreational vehicles,

as they’re known nowadays.

Well, now we’ve got proof for you. Together with friends Becky

Pentland, Barbara Venezia of “Home on the Range” cooking show fame and

actress Judy Tenuta, the comedienne recently strolled around a vintage RV

show held at the Newport Dunes Resort.

“I love RVs and this show really lets you see some interesting rigs,”

Roseanne was overheard saying.

Too bad we missed her. It sure would have been nice to find out

whether she’s as crazy about Airstreams as we are.

You’ll know him when you see him

His name hasn’t come up in these pages as a possible hopeful to

replace Rep. Christopher Cox (R-Newport Beach).

He’s not easy to get a hold of, which we expect will change if Cox

gets a nomination -- something most still consider likely, even though he

wasn’t among President Bush’s first picks thanks to a host of political

bickerings.

But most Republicans around the county, the state and the country are

expecting “B-1” Bob Dornan to make some move, at some point, if Cox’s

seat opens up.

Dornan’s living in Virginia, but a move back to Orange County isn’t

out of the question. And unlike another former representative, Jim Rogan,

he hasn’t ruled it out.

And that’s just too fun for words.
