Badgers tame Tigers, 10-0

The Badgers came up with a big defensive stance last weekend to blank

the Tigers, 10-0, in Campbell Division play.

The Badgers’ Justin Pederson needed only nine saves for the shutout.

Ian Arnold scored a game-best five goals -- including four consecutive

during a stretch in the first and second periods. John Sacco finished

with three goals and an assist, Michael Feirstein had a goal and two

assists and Nainoa Ane scored once.

In other games:

Wave Runners 2, Intimidators 1

Christopher Johnson and Garrick Langer scored to lift the Wave Runners

past the Intimidators. Jeffrey Ivora had 13 saves in the victory. Nathan

Wing scored unassisted and Garrett Blackwell had 16 saves for the Intimidators.

Hurricanes 3, The Blades 3

This tie featured goals by the Hurricanes’ Kenneth Nguyen, Trevor

Jackson and Quinn Piper, and the Blades’ David Abady, Alec Schartner and

Nicholas Kadletz. Matthew Kibler of the Hurricanes finished with 15

saves, and The Blades’ Brad Janelli had 10.

Blackhawks 2, Lazer Blades 2

Kelly Culhane scored off an Erik Jervik feed in the final period, and

Jervik later would score in the quarter, to help the Blackhawks overcome

a 2-0 deficit and earn the tie. The Lazer Blades took a 2-0 first quarter

lead on a Bryce King score off a Cole Thormodsgaard assist, and

Thormodsgaard scored unassisted two minutes later.

Both goalies -- Darrell McDonald of the Blackhawks and David Johnson

of the Lazer Blades -- finished with seven saves.
