The northbound Euclid Avenue offramp from the San Diego Freeway in

Fountain Valley will be closed through June 29 so the California

Department of Transportation can construct additional land.

Other work planned during the closure will include adding new curbs

and gutters as well as installing drainage and electrical lines.

Motorists have the option of choosing two detour routes including the

north San Diego Freeway exit at Harbor Boulevard and turning right and

then left on MacArthur Boulevard to Euclid Avenue, or the Brookhurst

Street exit off the highway and turning left on Talbert Avenue to Euclid

Auditions to be held for Playhouse musical.

Auditions for “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” will be

held from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday at the Huntington Beach Playhouse Annex,

18411 Gothard St., Unit F, and from 7 to 10 p.m. Monday in the Maddy Room

of the Huntington Beach Central Library, 7111 Talbert Ave.

Rehearsals will begin June 5. Performances will run July 27 to Aug. 26

at the Playhouse. There is no pay. Those auditioning are requested to

prepare 16 bars of a song, bring a picture and resume and be dressed to

dance.

Financial lecture set for Tuesday

The Financial Abuse Specialist Team and the Health Insurance

Counseling and Advocacy Program will present the lecture, “Who Can You

Trust?” from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Huntington Beach Civic

Center, 2000 Main St.

The first part of the program will focus on the potential for

financial abuse in the areas of estate and planning with special tips on

trust mills and scams.

The second part of the training will deal with fraud against

governmental agencies. Learn who is committing fraud and where it is

likely to be found.
