NBLL AA: Dodgers take care of Diamondbacks in semifinals

NEWPORT BEACH - The Dodgers advanced to the Newport Beach Little

League AA Division title game with a 10-3 semifinals win over the

Diamondbacks.

David Weiland had a home run and two RBIs for the Dodgers, while

Francesco Impagliazzo chipped in a triple and three RBIs.

Dodger pitchers Kyle Danese, Chase Nugent and Nick Flamson combined to

strike out 10, while allowing only four hits.

Strong Dodger defense was contributed by Gustaf Hellmer, Jarrett

Logan, Karl Fletcher, Chris Burke and Carter Taylor.

The D’Backs were led by pitchers Brooks Brady and Mattias

Russo-Larson, while on offense, Peter Weidner had two hits and two runs

scored and Christian Freeman added a double and scored twice.
