*Brookhurst Street: Someone complained to police about two cars, a

silver BMW containing four male juveniles and a black vehicle sporting

two males juveniles, racing up and down the street at about 50 miles an

hour after driving through a park in the 19000 block at 11:34 a.m.

Friday.

* Edinger Avenue: Someone reportedly slashed the tires and stole the

gold name plates from a white Toyota Camry parked in an apartment complex

carport in the 8400 block at 7:30 a.m. May 30.

* Highland Avenue: An elderly woman complained to police about

receiving a number of frightening phone calls from an unknown man who

said he would pick her up soon from her home in the 9000 block at 3:41

p.m. May 29.

* Main Street: A resident told police that an undisclosed number of

people were running down the street carrying bottles of beer and

screaming in the 200 block at 11:06 p.m. Saturday.

* Main Street: A undisclosed number of juveniles, with an alleged

history of pointing lasers at a nearby art gallery, were reportedly

throwing water balloons at artists as they entered the gallery in the 500

block at 4:38 p.m. May 31.

* Morgan Lane: A woman, described as being in her 30s, standing 5 feet

3 inches tall with blond hair, a medium build in a white sweater, blue

pants and carrying a bottle of alcohol, was reportedly trespassing on

private property and obstructing a vehicle in the 17000 block at 4:26

p.m. Saturday.

* Michael Drive: Police responded to a report of three gunshots fired

in the 8000 block at 1:54 a.m. Sunday.

* Oak Lane: Someone complained to police about a loose dog that was

reportedly running around and harassing students at a school in the 17000

block at 7:54 a.m. May 31.

* Pacific Coast Highway and 16th Street: A resident discovered what

appeared to be an explosive device, with wires and black duct tape,

sitting on a concrete bench on the ocean side of the intersection at 1:26

p.m. Friday.

* Rutger Circle: A man driving a station wagon was reportedly prowling

around a residence, throwing small pebbles and whistling toward one of

its windows in the 600 block at 2:45 a.m. May 30.

* Searidge Circle: Someone allegedly went into a resident’s mailbox,

removed some personal checks and committed forgery to withdraw $2,000

from the resident’s account in the 4000 block at 1:36 p.m. May 29.

* Stanley Walk Lane: A resident complained to police of hearing bottle

rockets and other fireworks shot off in an apartment complex courtyard in

the 7000 block at 11:17 p.m. May 28.

* Topeka Lane: Police and fire officials responded to an electrical

fire reported at a structure in the 19000 block at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
