The Independent asked students at Marine View Middle School what their

favorite memory is from this school year.

“The first day when I met my math teacher, Ms. Mendoza, because she

seemed nice at the beginning and was nice throughout.”

TAWNY BRAR, 11

“My fondest memory is when I went to outdoor-ed because it was with

friends, there was lots of snow, and I liked our cabin leader.”

SAM ROBINSON, 12

“My favorite memory was going on the citizenship field trip at

Fountain Valley Skate Center. It was fun, and we were with friends and

people didn’t care what they did. They just had fun.”

STEPHEN NELSON, 12

“The first day of school when I met new friends. All of us worried if

the eighth-graders were gonna beat us up.”

MICHELLE KARN, 11

“The new friends I got to meet and the really cool teachers.”

NICOLE BOON, 12
