ANNUAL MEETING

The 35th annual Meeting of the Jewish Federation of Orange County will

take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Jewish Federation Campus, 250 E.

Baker St., Costa Mesa. The officers and Board of Directors will be

25 YEARS AND COUNTING

Liberty Baptist church will hold two special services, at 11 a.m. and

5 p.m. July 8, to celebrate its 25th anniversary. A luncheon will follow

the morning service and a party will follow the evening one. All are

WORKSHOPS

A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY

A 26-lesson study on the life of Jesus Christ titled “Journey to the

Cross” is being taught 9:45 a.m. Sundays during the Homebuilder’s Bible

Class at Liberty Baptist Church. The study parallels the four Gospels to

present the story of Christ. The church is at 1000 Bison Ave., Newport

DREAM ON

The Adult Faith Formation at Our Lady Queen of Angels Church in

Newport Beach holds an ongoing dream analysis group that meets from 1 to

3 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month at 2046 Mar Vista Drive, Newport

MEDITATION LESSONS

A “lectio divina” meditation group meeting is held at 7:15 a.m.

Thursdays at Our Lady Angels Parish Center, 2046 Mar Vista Drive, Newport

Beach. Lectio is a style of meditation that includes using Scripture or a

special reading as a stimulus. Free. The Christian Meditation Group meets

from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at

the center. The format includes two periods of meditation with some

ANXIETY/DEPRESSION SUPPORT

The Jewish Family Service of Orange County offers a support and

discussion group for adults experiencing anxiety and or depression at 9

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT

Jewish Family Service of Orange County will hold a new, ongoing

bereavement support group for people in all stages of loss at 7 p.m.

MEN’S FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST

The Men’s Fellowship Breakfast of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church

The Jewish Family Service of Orange County offers a support and

discussion group for adults dealing with the aftermath of divorce at 7

ABUSE SUPPORT GROUP

St. Mark Presbyterian Church hosts a faith-based, nonsectarian abuse

support group from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays at the church, 2100 Mar Vista

‘JESUS IN BLUE JEANS’

The Rev. Gail Miller holds a class based on Laurie Beth Jones’ book

“Jesus in Blue Jeans” from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays. The class will consider

the ways Jesus would deal with practical, everyday challenges. The class

HELP WITH HEALING

Jewish Family Services of Orange County sponsors an ongoing Jewish

healing support group at 7 p.m. Thursdays for people who suffer from

chronic illness. The group’s purpose is to provide participants with

emotional and spiritual support to help manage the effects illnesses have

on people’s lives. Meetings are at 250 E. Baker St., Suite G., Costa

WEEKLY KIDS PROGRAM

Presbyterian Church of the Covenant presents “Children of Our Lord,” a
