The Daily Pilot asked kids at Heller Park in Costa Mesa how their

summer’s been so far.

“I love to come to this park because of the tire swing. The Costa Mesa

mobile park program has fun arts and crafts too. I hope to come here all

of the time.”

“I went to the movies to see ‘Shrek.’ I liked it because of the

talking donkey, who would talk all day. I like the after-school program

here at this park too.”

“I have done nothing much, just got some new software for my computer.

I also got some Pokemon cards. I enjoy the mobile program and the games

we play.”

“I have gone boating on an outrigger canoe at the Newport Aquatic

Center and gone fishing with Boy Scouts. I have built rockets and

launched them with my launching kit that my mom got for me. I also went

to the new Disney park.”

“I have gone to Bible study school at St. Andrew’s Church, and next

week I start swim lessons and horseback riding lessons.”
