COSTA MESA* Iowa Street: Annoying phone calls were reported in the

1600 block at 9:32 a.m. Thursday.

* Placentia Avenue: Vandalism was reported in the 2300 block at 9:24

p.m. Thursday.

* West Wilson Street: Annoying phone calls were reported in the 700

block at 11:50 p.m. Thursday.

* East 18th Street: An assault was reported in the 200 block at 1:32

p.m. Thursday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* West Coast Highway: Front and rear license plates were stolen from a

vehicle parked in the 700 block at 12:12 p.m. Thursday.

* Morning Canyon Road: Property worth $1,300 was reported stolen from

a truck parked in the 200 block at 12:15 p.m. Thursday.

* 16th Street and Dover Drive: Vandals reportedly chipped and broke a

decorative trim on a cement bench at Bob Henry Park at 10:30 a.m.
