Danielle Allison Alvarez was inducted into the honorary fraternity

Gamma Beta Phi at Chapman University in spring 2001. She is also the

social chair of Gamma Phi Beta sorority and was student body president

while at Marina High School from 1998 to 1999. She is the daughter of

Arnold and Christine Alvarez of Huntington Beach. . . . Marine Corps PFC.

Mark H. Beckleman Jr., son of Tracy L. and Mark L. Beckleman, completed

basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego and was

meritoriously promoted to his current rank. . . . Air Force Airman Ian P.

Rohde graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base

in San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, he studied the

Air Force Mission, organization and customs and received special training

in human relations. In addition, he earned credits toward an associate’s

degree through the Community College of the Air Force. He is the son of

Marcia Rohde and a 1998 graduate of Edison High School. . . . Ryan A.

Broccolo graduated from Albion College on May 12 with a bachelor’s degree

in economics and management with a concentration in the Carl A.

Gerstacker Liberal Arts Institute in Professional Management. He is the

son of Frank and Patrica Broccolo and a graduate of Edison High School. .

. . Air Force Airman Elias T. Heyser graduated from basic military

training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. During the six

weeks of training, he studied the Air Force Mission, organization and

customs and received special training in human relations. In addition, he

earned credits toward an associate’s degree through the Community College

of the Air Force. He is the son of Karen and Thomas Heyser and a 2000

graduate of Marina High School. . . . Air National Guard Airman 1st Class

Jessica R. Harrod graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air

Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, she

studied the Air Force Mission, organization and customs and received

special training in human relations. In addition, she earned credits

toward an associate’s degree through the Community College of the Air

Force. She is the daughter of David Harrod of Moreno Valley and Peggy

Gallagher of Huntington Beach.
