* Avocado Street: An assault was reported in the 300 block at 7:50

p.m. Wednesday.

* Caraway Drive: A home burglary was reported in the 1500 block at

5:16 p.m. Wednesday.

* Harbor Boulevard: A petty theft was reported in the 3000 block at

4:07 p.m. Wednesday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* West Balboa Boulevard: Tools were reportedly stolen from a home

under construction in the 1100 block at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday.

* Bedford Lane: Property worth $3,300 was reported stolen in the 1600

block at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

* West Coast Highway: About 470 packs and 26 cartons of cigarettes

were reported stolen from a store in the 6700 block at 6:42 a.m.

Wednesday.
