CMNLL Majors: Nationals look for repeat performance

HUNTINGTON BEACH - The Costa Mesa National Little League Majors

Division All-Star team is in the driver’s seat for the District 62

playoffs.

Today at 10 a.m. at Marina Park (Edinger and Graham, behind Marina

High), the locals will take on Seaview for the Area 2 championship. Mesa

won its previous matchup with Seaview, 9-3, on Wednesday.

A win today or Sunday at 1 p.m., if necessary, would propel Costa Mesa

into a best-of-three series with the Area 1 champion June 17-18-19. The

Area 1 champion will be either Ocean View or Fountain Valley. Those two

All-Star squads will also do battle today and Sunday, if necessary.
