WEATHER FORECAST
Partly cloudy skies will give way shortly after noon as the mercury
creeps up to 77 degrees. Temperatures are still shy of typical of July
readings, but are still warm nonetheless.
Though short of 80 degrees, which was exceeded on Sunday, it will feel
like 80 sometime around 1 p.m. At the same time, UV levels are expected
to reach 9, a strong hint that sunscreen should be used by those spending
more than 10 minutes outside under the beaming sun.
Things will start cooling off by evening, eventually reaching the low
of 62.

THE BOATING FORECAST
Patchy fog will kick things off in the harbor in the morning, though
western winds of 10 to 15 knots should blow that away. Another result of
the light wind will be 2-foot waves, though an occasional 4-foot swell
can’t be ruled out.
Offshore, the same conditions should be encountered with winds blowing
at 10 to 15 knots and kicking up 2-foot waves. There could be an
occasional 6-foot swell.
By night, the winds and waves won’t change much, if at all, though the
fog will return in the harbor. Offshore, winds will pick up to about 20
knots with some mixed southwest and northwest 6-foot swell.
SURF
A southwest swell will bring in some knee- to waist-high surf, nothing
even close to those waves seen earlier in the weekend. Expect a few
4-footers, though, with fair to good conditions.
With the water temperatures in the mid-60s and sometimes warmer
nowadays, the kiddies may enjoy spending a day at the beach.
