SURF AND SUN
WEATHER FORECAST
By now, the clouds should already be clearing up, though they will
stick around until the early afternoon. This morning’s low, in the
mid-60s, will follow the sun’s path and only warm up slowly. And don’t
expect it to get too hot, mid-70s at best. Still, once the sun comes out,
it’ll make you sweat a bit more than that.
The night will cool off pretty early, as well, dipping into the 60s by
6 p.m. on the way to another low in the mid-, maybe even low 60s. It’s
not shaping up to be as nice a weekend as we’d hoped.

BOATING FORECAST
Light winds and fog will greet early morning boaters as they head out
of the harbor. Gusts at most will be about 15 knots. As you head out
farther, the swell will increase to about 5 feet.
By the afternoon, the swell in the inner waters will bump up a tad to
3 feet, though the winds won’t be any stronger. The sea swells will be a
slightly rough 6 feet with some 20 knot gusts. Things calm down in the
evening, with the swell and wind both backing off.
SURF
Nothing much today. More of those chest-high sets, and at least the
shape should be all right. Early on, the winds will stay light enough and
the tides shouldn’t be much of a factor. Doesn’t sound promising? Well,
nothing on the horizon looks much better, so get in the water.
