Costa Mesa resident Jennifer McKee has been named print production

manager for Lawrence, Mayo & Ponder, an advertising agency in Newport

Beach. She will be responsible for in-store promotions and display.

McKee, a Cal State Fullerton graduate, also directed production of

Fatburger restaurant chain’s signs, menus, point-of-purchase displays,

direct mail kits and outdoor advertising. Fatburger is one of Lawrence,

Mayo & Ponder’s clients. . . . Robert C. Liewer has been promoted to vice

president of land acquisition for Taylor Woodrow Homes Inc., a leading

home building company serving Southern California from Calabasas to San

Diego. Liewer, a 25-year veteran in the home-building industry, worked on

two communities in Newport Beach: Perazul and Watermark at Crystal Cove

in Newport Coast. Liewer will be responsible for developing and

implementing a strategic plan to acquire and develop sites for new home

communities. He joined Taylor Woodrow as vice president of development in

1996. . . . Marine Corps Pvt. Vincenzo A. Sinisi, a 2000 Costa Mesa High

School graduate, has completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit

Depot in San Diego. The 12-week training course included such field

assignments as learning first aid, combat water survival, marksmanship,

hand-to-hand combat and weapons training. Vincenzo is the son of Laura J.

Calderon of Costa Mesa. . . . Air Force Airman Alexander Marquez, a 1998

Costa Mesa High alumnus, graduated from basic military training at

Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Marquez received training

in human relations and studied the Air Force mission, customs and

organization during the six-week course. Alexander is the son of Aide

Marquez of Costa Mesa. . . . Nine students from Newport-Mesa were

selected to the 2001 spring quarter dean’s honor list at UC Santa

Barbara. Students earn the honor by attaining a grade-point average of

3.75 or more, completing 12 or more units in the college of letters and

sciences, or by attaining a 3.50 in the college of engineering. Local

students include Brooke Farrell, environmental studies, Balboa Island;

Allison Allen, letters and science program, undeclared, Costa Mesa;

Robert Archbold, biopsychology, Newport Beach; Alexei Babazadeh,

pre-business economics/economics, Newport Beach; Erin Glasgow, classics,

Newport Beach; Amber Ingels, comparative literature, Newport Beach;

Jennifer Morgan, biopsychology, Newport Beach; April Mosier, pre-law and

society.
