Letters to the editor
I’ve been out of town for six months and going through my mail I
noticed a letter about the bridges coming across the Santa Ana River
crossing Banning Avenue and Brookhurst Street. I know that there are a
lot of homeowners like myself whose homes are involved with the present
traffic on Brookhurst going to the beach as well as the business people.
Not only that but whenever there is a building project somewhere
around, we hear trucks going by at 4 a.m. making all the noise they can
by hitting all the potholes in the road and speeding to get wherever.
We also get a lot of motorcycles and bikers yelling for traffic to
stop and let them go through, even if the traffic light is against them.
If there was a patrol car there, I’m sure that everyone in that group
would get a ticket for going against the traffic light. The motorcycles
have races up and down Brookhurst.
No sir, I do not need more noise since the back of my home faces
Brookhurst and Banning.
To add more noise to the neighborhood is crazy. Enough is enough.
Not only the noise but starting in September the schools will be
opened and there are a lot of children walking to school from Bay Breeze
Drive and Brookhurst to Banning.
Please don’t let this project go through.
