CM Pony baseball: Signups Saturday

COSTA MESA - Signups for Costa Mesa Pony Baseball’s winter season

are scheduled Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon in front of the Costa Mesa

High gym.

The winter session begins the second week of September and continues

through mid-November. Practices will begin in late August.

Players ages 13-14 will play on bases 80 feet apart and the pitching

rubber is 54 feet from the plate. Metal cleats are allowed and base

runners may lead off.

The cost is $50 and all games are played Sundays at TeWinkle Park or

Costa Mesa High.
