WEATHER FORECAST

Same old, same old. Early morning clouds and mid-60 degree weather

starts the day. All of a sudden, sometime between 9 and 10 a.m., those

clouds should disappear and the sun will start shining brightly. Expect

the temperature to hit 80 around 12:30, on its way to a high of 83 in the

early afternoon.

It will stay clear through the late night, with temperatures dropping

into the low 70s by 7 p.m. and finally dipping into the 60s around 11

p.m.

BOATING FORECAST

Light winds will greet those up early in the harbor. By the afternoon,

they’ll be blowing between 10 and 15 knots and producing 2-foot waves.

The swell in the harbor is a mix of west and southwest at 3 feet and

stays that way through the night.

Out deeper, there’s a small-craft warning northwest of San Nichols

Island, so be careful out there. The winds there will be up to 25 knots

with waves up to 4 feet. Otherwise, the winds stay about 10 to 20 knots

throughout the day.

The swell, a cross-mix of northwest and southwest, is at 5 feet. Watch

for areas of fog both in the morning and late at night.

SURF

The swell keeps falling. All along the shoreline, there’ll be waist-

and chest-high waves, but not very good ones. The Wedge isn’t even worth

much. But let’s think positive: Maybe an occasional head-high set will

peel through. The water’s pretty clean. And the morning conditions should

be smooth. Random hopeful spot of the day: Let’s say 55th Street.

You know the drill. It looks awful out right now, like there’s no way

it’ll be nice. Don’t worry about it. See Page 2.
