WEATHER FORECAST
Few clouds will be seen today on another mostly sunny day in which the
high will hover in the low 80s in Costa Mesa. Newport Beach will see
temperatures near the mid-70s. The UV index should hit 9 between noon and
2 p.m. and gradually make its way down from there.
Overnight, a few clouds will return, but won’t create conditions that
are too cool. The low is expected to be about 64 degrees. Expect slightly
warmer weather Wednesday.

BOATING FORECAST
After the typical patchy morning fog in the harbor, there should be
light wind becoming westerly at 10 to 15 knots with 2-foot waves and a
mixed western and southern swell at 4 feet. The wind and waves will
subside even more into the night while the fog returns.
Out farther, the northwestern winds will be stronger at 20 to 25
knots, which create 3- to 4-foot waves and a mixed northwestern and
southern swell of 7 feet. Like in the harbor, there will be patchy
morning and night fog. By night, the winds will continue blowing 20 to 25
knots with a swell of about 6 feet
SURF
The waves will pick up a tad with waist- to shoulder-high surf rolling
in to make for fair conditions today. On Wednesday, the surf will die
down just a bit with 2- to 3-footers before picking up on
