* Placentia Avenue: Vandalism was reported in the 2700 block at 10:54

a.m. Tuesday.

* Placentia Avenue: A hit-and-run was reported in the 2100 block at

5:26 p.m. Tuesday.

* Santa Catalina Drive: Annoying phone calls were reported in the 2500

block at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

* South Coast Drive: A petty theft was reported in the 900 block at

8:41 p.m. Tuesday.

* Wallace Avenue: A home burglary was reported in the 1900 block at

12:09 p.m. Tuesday.

* West 17th Street: Forgery was reported in the 600 block at 12:05

p.m. Tuesday.

* 22nd Street and Rural Place: Possession of drugs was reported at

8:35 p.m. Tuesday.

* Canyon Crest Drive: Mail theft was reported at 10:18 a.m. Tuesday.

* East Coast Highway: A cellular phone was reported stolen from a

purse in the 3200 block at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

* Corona del Mar main beach: Gang-type graffiti was reportedly found

in the public restrooms at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday.

* Newport Center Drive: Sunglasses were reported stolen from a car

parked in the 900 block at 2:32 p.m. Tuesday.

* West Ocean Front: A briefcase was reported stolen from a car in the

1200 block at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday.
