WEATHER FORECAST
It’ll be much like Tuesday and Wednesday with early morning clouds
burning off to create a high of about 77 degrees in Costa Mesa. It should
be a bit cooler along the coast in Newport Beach.
The night, too, will be similar to Tuesday and Wednesday with a low of
64 degrees. Expect slightly warmer and more typical August conditions
Thursday and this weekend.

BOATING FORECAST
A light wind will begin the day in the harbor, though winds will pick
up to their usual 10 to 15 knots by the afternoon. At that time, expect
waves of 2 feet, as well as a 3-foot southwest swell. Not much will
change overnight.
Out farther, expect stronger winds at 15 to 25 knots out of the
northwest that will generate 2- to 4-foot winds and a northwest swell of
6 feet. Overnight, the winds will become even more fierce at 20 to 30
knots.
SURF
Pretty predictable knee- to waist-highs are continuing to bombard the
coast. While the occasional 4-footers will drop by, don’t expect too much
more from the surf, expected to be fair. Expect the same until Sunday
when larger waves may roll in.
