* Newport Boulevard: Possession of a controlled substance was reported

in the 1900 block at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.

* Paularino Avenue: Vandalism was reported in the 500 block at 9:29

a.m. Wednesday.

* Santa Catalina: A petty theft was reported in the 2500 block at 8

p.m. Wednesday.

* Superior Avenue: An assault was reported in the 1700 block at 2:09

a.m. Wednesday.

* East 17th Street and Newport Boulevard: A hit-and-run misdemeanor

was reported at 4:16 p.m. Wednesday.

* Vanguard Way: A prowler was reported in the 2200 block at 12:13 a.m.

* Victoria Street: Annoying phone calls were reported in the 300 block

at 5:02 p.m. Wednesday.

* Birch Street: Annoying phone calls were reported in the 5000 block

at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday.

* Campus Drive: Possession of a controlled substance was reported in

the 3900 block at 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

* Newport Center Drive: Vandals reportedly poured an unknown liquid on

a car in the 900 block at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday.

* Palm Street and East Balboa Boulevard: Possession of cannabis was

reported at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday.

* Ticonderoga Street and Superior Avenue: Possession of a narcotic

controlled substance was reported at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.
