The three-day food, wine and music festival known as the Taste of

Newport will begin today and run through Sunday. Hosted by the Newport

Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce, the 13th annual event is expected to

draw about 75,000 people to Fashion Island. More than 30 of Newport

Beach’s restaurants are expected to provide food, wine, beer and

cocktails. KC & the Sunshine Band will perform today, followed by the

Bangles on Saturday and Toto on Sunday. Hours are 6 to 11 p.m. today, 4 to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. General admission will be

$15 (which includes all entertainment), with children younger than 12
