The Taste of Newport will begin Friday and run through Sept. 16 at

Fashion Island. More than 30 of Newport Beach’s restaurants are expected

to provide food, wine, beer and cocktails. KC & the Sunshine Band will

perform Friday, followed by the Bangles on Sept. 15 and Toto on Sept. 16.

Hours are 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, 4 to 11 p.m. Sept. 15 and noon to 8 p.m.

Sept. 16. General admission will be $15 (which includes all

entertainment), with children under 12 admitted free on Sept. 15-16.
