OCC sweeps Skagit Valley

Orange Coast College’s women’s volleyball team make quick work of

visiting Skagit Valley College of Washington Monday, posting a 30-24,

30-22, 30-21 victory over the Cardinal.

“Overall we had a good performance,” said OCC Coach Chuck Cutenese.

“We used three different lineups with three different setters and all

three did a great job.”

Katja Muller led Coast with 10 kills, while Melissa Roberts finished

with 10.

Rachelle Suesoff had 13 assists and Amber McCarthy had 12. Janelle

Jeremiah played well defensively, with eight digs.

Coast, 1-0, returns to the floor on Wednesday at 7 when the Pirates

host Ventura.
