I think it’s important to preserve the Bolsa Chica and I would prefer

no homes be built on the mesa. So, the short answer is -- zero.

Zero! No homes should be built on the Bolsa Chica Mesa. The entire

Bolsa Chica Mesa and wetlands should be preserved and stay undeveloped

for wildlife to prosper and future generations of Huntington Beach

residents to enjoy.

The only clear, environmentally responsible and future

generation-friendly answer is zero!

No homes should be built, period. It is not like the mesa is the only

spot of ground left to build on, is it? Please count my vote against any

home building on the mesa.

My response to this question is: none.

I feel it is very important to preserve the whole mesa. No homes or

any development should happen on that mesa. We need to keep as many of

the wetlands as possible.

How many homes should be built on Bolsa Chica? One . . . for the

preserve caretaker. We need to save all of Bolsa Chica because the

Southern California coast, migratory wildlife and all us have already

given up enough to coastal development. Developers can either drive home

in another Mercedes or we can save what is left of the coastal beauty of

California now -- before it is gone forever. Migratory birds need Bolsa

Chica to survive. There is no place else to go.

I’d like to cast my ballot for no homes on the Bolsa Chica Mesa. I’d

like to see it sold and preserved for all to enjoy.

The entire Bolsa Chica ecosystem must be protected from development.

Zero, zip, none, nada single home should be built.

If any are built, there needs to be an environmental buffer zone

between developed properties and natural habitat to protect against urban

runoff and domesticated animal threats to the existing species of birds,

especially ground nesting varieties.

Financial responsibility for any future damage must be assigned, in

perpetuity, to the developer since they cannot guarantee that anything

they develop will not have negative effects on Bolsa Chica.

I don’t think any homes should be built on the Bolsa Chica Mesa. If

the Bolsa Chica Land Trust is trying to buy the land for fair market

value (as agricultural property, which it is) then I feel they should go

forward with preserving the area for all to enjoy, now and in the future.
