Preparedness Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Norma Brandel

SUNDAY

Old World Village is celebrating Oktoberfest with food, games and

music. The festivities will take place Wednesday through Sunday and run

through Oct. 28 at the village, 7561 Center Ave. Wednesdays and Thursdays

are family nights with free admission, 6:30 to 11 p.m. Fridays and

Saturdays are 21 and over, $10 admission (6:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.) On Sundays

There will be an Oktoberfest Parade at 2 p.m. on Sept. 30.

MONDAY

Gymnastics classes for children ages 10 months to 12 years old, and

levels from beginning to advanced are offered at three locations in

Huntington Beach. Starting the week of Sept. 17. Classes will run for 10

TUESDAY

The Huntington Beach Concert Band is an all-volunteer community

organization with approximately 70 members, led by music director Tom

Ridley. Founded in February 1973, the band plays a wide variety of

musical styles -- from classical, to Broadway to contemporary. It

performs frequently at events and locations throughout Southern

California, including Disneyland, Leisure World, Huntington Beach Pier

Plaza and Verizon Wireless Amphitheater.The Huntington Beach Concert Band

is open to all interested musicians age 18 and over. Rehearsals are held

Five Points Plaza and Trader Joe’s is hosting a benefit to the

Assistance League of Huntington Beach. Huntington Beach chefs will

demonstrate their skills while preparing their dishes, a four to five

course meal with dessert and beverage. Attendees will receive a 5 Points

Plaza or Trader Joe’s tote bag filled with the recipes and gifts from the

5 Points shops. Attendees give a $25 donation to the Assistance League

The Huntington Beach Public Library is hosting a day of bubbles with

Training class on caregiver support, resources and information on

The Moms Offering Moms Support Club, a nonprofit support group for

stay-at-home mothers, organizes daily activities for mothers and their

children including park play days, fun field trips and age appropriate
