Airforce Airman Robert J. Robinson has graduated from basic military

training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During his six

weeks of training he studied the Air Force mission, organization and

customs and received special training in human relations. He is a 2000

graduate of Huntington Beach High school and the son of Norman and

Barbara Robinson of Huntington Beach. . . . Gregory Russell Cernok

graduated in May with a bachelor’s degree in management from Purdue

University. ... Huntington Beach native So-Jin Lee, son of Dong and Chong

Lee of Huntington Beach, was one of 1,000 students to receive bachelor’s

degrees from Dartmouth College at the college’s June 10 Commencement. Lee

received her degree in psychology and was a graduate of Ocean View High

School. ...Marine Corps Pfc. Michael S. Tucker, son of Joyce and Richard

Cruz of Huntington Beach, recently graduated from the Marine Corps Basic

Combat Engineer Course at the Marine Corps Base at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Tucker received instruction for building and repairing bridges and for

engineering support for combat units... Inger Jessen, of Huntington

Beach, competed in the 13th annual World Transplant Games in Kobe, Japan.

Jessen received a heart transplant in 1997. The World Transplant Games is

an Olympic-style sporting event for recipients of life-saving organ or

solid tissue transplants. ...Jonathan R. Rosen has graduated from the

Army Reserve Officer Training Corps [ROTC] Advanced Camp at Fort Lewis in

Tacoma, Wash. Cadets completed a five-week course of military leadership

training and evaluation exercises in management, communications, and

survival training. Rosen is currently a student at New Mexico Military

Institute in Roswell, N.M. Rosen is the son of Steven J. and Francie

Rosen of Huntington Beach and is a 2000 graduate of Ocean View High

School in Huntington Beach.
