1. SUBMARINES AHOY! Today, the Newport Harbor Nautical Museum will

present “Submarines, From Nemo to Nuclear” an exhibit highlighting the

evolution of the Naval submarine. Open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The museum

2. WALK FOR PEACE. The eighth annual Orange County Peace Walk/Jam will

take place Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Triangle Square in Costa

Mesa. The free event, celebrating the United Nations’ International Day

of Peace, features live entertainment, raffles, nonprofit group displays

3. RACE TO FIGHT BREAST CANCER as The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer

Foundation holds its 10th annual Komen Orange County Race for the Cure at

Fashion Island. A women’s 5K run/walk will be the first race and will

begin at 7:35 a.m. Sunday. Other events will include a family 1-mile fun

walk, a coed 5K run and walk. The even concludes at 11 a.m. with a breast
