Sur La Table has three upcoming cooking classes for kids in their

Junior Chef program. At 10 a.m. Oct. 13, there’s an Autumn Sunday Supper

class for kids ages 8 to 12 for $45. The menu will include spicy chicken

strips with homemade barbecue dipping sauce, tricolored coleslaw with

sweet and tangy dressing, crazy for corn fritters, and autumn fruit and

cranberry crisp with cinnamon cream. There’s a Halloween dinner for teens

at 2 p.m. Oct. 20. The class is designed for kids ages 13 to 18 and is

$45. The menu includes jack-o’-lantern soup, pumpkin muffins with

hazelnuts and cinnamon, fresh greens with sugar-peppered almonds and

pecans and a raspberry vinaigrette with autumn pears, and witches’ soda

pop brew. At 10 a.m. Oct. 27, there will be a Halloween food class for

kids ages 6 to 11 for $40. The menu will include jack-o’-lantern pizzas,

scary pumpkin cookies, baked apples with worms, olive potato chip bread,

chocolate cream spider cookies and candy corn-orange popcorn balls. Sur
