South Huntington Beach nets 35-23 victory

The South Huntington Beach seventh-grade girls’ All-Net basketball

team came up big on the weekend by defeating Newport Mesa, 35-23.

Meryl Engler scored 17 points to pace the victory and Sarah Marsh

finished with eight points.

The RoundBall Revolution Basketball Club will conduct team tryouts on

Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club in Huntington Beach. The

tryout is for young girls born in 1988 and 1989 who have some basketball

experience and ability. The club is at 2309 Delaware St., west of Beach

Boulevard and north of Adams Avenue.
